Today, as the National Day of Persons with Disabilities is commemorated, the Supervisory Body for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel) reported that there are rate plans specials ranging from S/15 and that are designed to meet the needs of these users.
These options include data packages that vary between 2 GB and 27 GB, as well as unlimited access to social networks such as WhatsApp and Facebook, depending on the coverage available in each region.
“This initiative seeks to facilitate the digital inclusion of people with disabilities, guaranteeing that they have access to telecommunications services adapted to their needs and at affordable prices,” said the director of Osiptel User Care and Protection, Tatiana Piccini.
According to the regulator, to contract these rate plans, you must present your DNI and National Council for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (Conadis) card.
Likewise, he specified that through the Checa tu plan platform (www.checatuplan.pe), users can verify the variety of plans offered by Claro, Movistar, Entel and Bitel, with mobile internet prices ranging from S/15 to S/39.
On the other hand, he indicated that the Conditions of Use standard establishes rights for users with visual sensory disabilities, who can request their operating company to send receipts, through suitable means and in accessible formats.
Likewise, people with physical disabilities who cannot perform biometric fingerprint verification to contract mobile services can be exempt from this requirement by presenting their identity document and an affidavit.
For users with hearing disabilities, the regulator has enabled a special orientation service on Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, by appointment at this link: https://serviciosweb.osiptel.gob.pe/DiscapacidadAuditiva.
