Users report problems with Banco Pichincha online services

The mobile banking system and the website do not work. Complaints are added for not being able to pay services or debts. There is no official version of the institution yet.

Throughout the morning of this February 7, 2022, Banco Pichincha customers have reported problems online services, both on the website and the mobile app.

This has caused claims because they have been left without the possibility of making important payments for basic services and debts; in addition to leaving pending transfers linked to sales and business.

For example, Eduardo Febres Cordero, through his Twitter account, said » Gentlemen Pichincha bandHow long are we going to put up with their inefficiency? Enough of playing with the users of your Bank. The system does not work, and payments cannot be made from the mobile application. If I am late because of you in paying the TDC, will you forgive me the interest?

In October 2021, for several days, the online systems of this financial institution were out of service. On that occasion, it was ensured that “a cybersecurity incident” affected its computer systems.

LA HORA newspaper consulted with Pichincha Bank about the causes of this new failure in the systems, and the time for services to be restored. However, so far there is no answer. (JS)
