MIAMI, United States. — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Cuban regime, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, denounced today that the United States is trying to exclude Cuba from the IX Summit of the Americas, which will be held soon in the city of Los Angeles.

According to the diplomat, the island has also been excluded from the preparation of the Health and Resilience Plan for the Americas until 2030, something he described as “shameful given Cuba’s contribution in promoting the health of its population and the region.” .
In this sense, Rodríguez Parrilla maintained that the absence of the Caribbean country or any other from the Summit is “unjustifiable.”
“The United States resorts once again to all kinds of resources and lies to assert the right won by Cuba and its people to be present at these Summits on equal terms with the rest of the countries in the region.”
The Cuban diplomat once again resorted to the usual rhetoric of the Cuban regime, recalling that the US “blockades Cuba” and “tries to suffocate our entire population with extreme coercive measures to achieve its objectives of political domination.”
“We denounce these maneuvers and we thank all the countries that have worthily and courageously defended Cuba’s right to participate and that work for the true integration of our region without exclusions,” added the regime’s foreign minister.
