US shoots down alleged Chinese spy balloon

The US military shot down a Chinese balloon on Saturday off the country’s east coast, media reported, hours after President Joe Biden vowed to “deal with” the alleged spy device.

Fox News and CNN reported the operation after three southeast airports were temporarily closed amid what the Federal Aviation Administration called a “national security effort.”
