The US Embassy announced, once again, through its social networks, that it has been working to reduce waiting times for visa applications and renewals for Colombian citizens.
(Visa for the USA: Embassy informed that appointments can be advanced).
According to the Embassy, there are appointments available for the next few weeks for those who want to renew their visa in categories B1 and B2. In addition, for those who already have a scheduled appointment but want to find a date closer to home, you can do the process in the embassy page.
Remember that the B1 and B2 visas are those that are requested for tourism or business on US soil.

As in this case the benefit is to advance the appointment for its renewal, we explain what you should do:
– Despite the fact that it is a visa renewal, citizens must carry out a procedure equal to the one carried out when it is a procedure for the first time.
– You must fill out the form again DS-160, present the documents and request an appointment for an interview.
– There is the possibility of accessing a visa interview waiver. This as long as you meet a series of requirements established by the immigration authorities.
