This would be the third US War ship in navigating Panamanian waters since on September 10 the destroyer Uss Sampson returned to Panama as part of joint cooperation in security and combat of drug trafficking “and malignant foreign influence.”

On August 29, the War Ship, the USS Lake Erie, crossed Isthmus interoceanic channel.

The presence of these ships in Panama happens at a time when the US has deployed military ships in Caribbean sea near the coast of Venezuela to combat drug trafficking.

Special Forces of Panama and the USA develop in Panamanian territory some exercises initiated last July, within the framework of the Cooperation for the Defense of the Interoceanic Canal and other structures of the Central American country, which imply the presence of two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and three Ch-47 Chinook.
