The Justice Department is filing an uncontested stay motion on Title 42 and says the delay in implementing the court order “will allow the government to prepare for an orderly transition to new border policies.”
The Department of State of the United States reported through a statement in its web portal that this country will continue to enforce its immigration laws at its border. “To be clear, pursuant to the unopposed motion, Title 42 would remain in effect for some time.”they asserted regarding a court order that prohibited federal authorities from using the public health authority to quickly expel migrants, including Venezuelans.
They also assured that the Department of Justice is filing an unopposed stay motion and that the delay in implementing the court order “will allow the government to prepare for an orderly transition to new border policies.”
In the same way, they warned: “We know that human traffickers will lie to try to take advantage of vulnerable migrants, putting lives at risk.”
The State Department also assured that it continues to work with countries throughout the Western Hemisphere to crack down on human smuggling networks that persuade migrants to make the dangerous, deadly journey to the United States.
