Díaz-Balart spoke this Wednesday after meeting, together with a commission of the United States congressmen, with President Luis Abinader. With the president they discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries.
“This is a bipartisan committee of the United States Budget Appropriation Committee. USA in the House of Representatives. We had a very positive meeting with the president and his ministers, ”Díaz-Balart stressed.
He also said that the first thing was to recognize the importance of the very special relationship between the Dominican Republic and the United States.
He explained that the group of congressmen from the United States was here to thank the Dominican president for his work and leadership. He affirmed that he is noticeable not only in the hemisphere, but also within the corridors of the United States Capitol.
Congressmen recognize Abinader’s leadership
“We recognize the leadership of the president and we recognize what he has already achieved and what he will continue to achieve,” he said.
Díaz-Balart said that he and his colleagues covered the important issues of the president and his ministers. He indicated that they were now returning to the United States with the task of continuing to do everything possible to further strengthen the relationship with the Dominican Republic.
He stated that this relationship was never more important and positive than now.
“We have some things to continue advancing and improving, with the leadership of President Abinader, to achieve even more, strengthen those ties,” Díaz-Balart indicated.
