A prisoner from Melchor Romero launched a brutal threat against the eight rugby players sentenced for the murder of Fernando Báez Sosa outside the Le Brique nightclub in Villa Gesell.
After having been sentenced, the eight rugbiers returned to the Melchor Romero prison, where they will be housed until the Penitentiary Service decides to divide them into two groups or send them to another unit, such as Dolores, for example, because they are closer to his family’s home in Zárate.

The permanence of rugby players in penalties depends on the type of sentence they have, therefore, those who have life imprisonment, they must be confined in a maximum security prison, while those who are sentenced to 15 years, would be being referred to another type of prison institution.
The problem that arose before the sentence of the rugby players corresponds to the prison codein which the other inmates judge the type of crime committed.
In this case, the fact that Fernando Báez Sosa was beaten to death while he was unconscious, in a group and against one person, is frowned upon.
It should be remembered that, while the process lasted, the rugbiers were separated, preventing them from coming across the prison population, to take care of their safety, given the possibility that they would be attacked by the other prisoners. Now that they have been sentenced, they must integrate into the prison community.

In an interview with the Crónica channel, Marcelo, a detainee of Melchor Romero, expressed: “They killed a cool kid, they don’t deserve to live. They thought they were eating the world and they got confused,” the inmate began.
After that, his threats were rising in tone, to a chilling point: “Here we are waiting for Thomsen. We’re going to make that cat out of rubber. We are going to caranchear them, we are going to do shit to them, to puncture them everywhere. They will be our women”sentenced.
