The official explained that last week the Working Group on Arms Trafficking was installed, whose responsibility is to redouble efforts to increase the seizure of firearms; carry out simultaneous operations on both sides of the border, in accordance with the regulations of each country; facilitate the exchange of information, strengthen prosecution and, where appropriate, extraditions.
“The rules of operation of this novel figure of cooperation must be characterized by fair play, in which coordination and dialogue between the representatives of each country are an unalterable condition in their actions, to monitor compliance with the requirements of each project, as well as the strategic priorities in the regions of greatest interest”, he said.
