The United States ambassador to Mexico, retired Colonel Ronald Johnson, yesterday recognized the Mexican government and the security cabinet for the recent operations that led to the arrest of members of a criminal organization linked to the Sinaloa cartel, particularly in the state of Querétaro. Through a message published on the X social network, the diplomat highlighted the results of bilateral cooperation in the fight against drug and arms trafficking.
“I recognize the government of Mexico and the security cabinet for these arrests,” said Johnson, who stressed that, under the leadership of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the close coordination and exchange of information between both countries are generating “concrete results” against organized crime.
He added that every weapon seized and every criminal brought to justice contributes to making communities safer on both sides of the border and saving lives. “Justice will prevail,” he said.
The ambassador’s statement was made in reference to the information released by the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, about an operation carried out in Querétaro, the result of a four-month investigation led by the Naval Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of the Navy.
