US$ 52 million credit formalized for potable water works

The doctors who treated the abducted baby commented that the woman accused of being responsible for her disappearance presented contradictions, mood swings and victimized herself.

Dr. Yudith Esquivel, from the Caacupé Hospital, told Radio Monumental that Fabiola Díaz (arrested for stealing another woman’s baby at the San Pablo de Asunción Hospital) went to that place because the newborn had a fever.

“She came psyched up with the idea of being given medication and leaving. Yor I saw the baby dehydrated and I asked him if he suckled, but he said no. She told me that she was a Violated woman, who is hurt and mistreated, and that is why she does not produce milk”, he recounted.

However, it seemed extremely strange to him. It was even weirder when the woman said that I was waiting for a hormone from the US to produce milkbeing that he was allegedly a victim of abuse.

Esquivel mentioned that he also found it striking that the woman did not want to lift one side of her shirt, where she just had the tattoo.

He also held that the woman fell into contradictions and had constant mood swingssince with her she showed herself in one way but with the other professionals she was reluctant and even threatened to leave the hospitalhe. “I told her that I was going to leave the hospital because her baby needed hospitalization,” she said.

According to the doctor, this woman stated that she did not have her documents and that her husband was bringing her papers to the hospital. “She did not want to let go of the baby, I told her if she did not want to drink water and that I was going to stop the baby, but I didn’t want to leave him and I didn’t know how to change him either. It was strange but we didn’t think it was that (stolen) baby either because she convinced us that she was mistreated and violated, she cried for anything,” she said.

After the baby was admitted, the Police arrived at the site and there they learned the background of the case. “It was hard to put the pieces together at first, then it all made sense,” she pointed out.

The disappearance of the baby occurred last Friday, when she was barely two days old. The woman who was now arrested had earned the mother’s trust and took advantage of a moment of inattention to get the girl out of the hospital.

Since then, an intense search has been carried out, both for the woman and the baby. Total three identikits were made of the alleged perpetrator of the act, through testimonies of the mother and witnesses.
