The wheat price stampede that caused the Russian invasion of Ukraine found the producers of Uruguay with freshly harvested grain. The avidity of the countries that cannot be self-sufficient has led to notable exports. This also speaks of the productive growth of the northern country, historically one of the world’s largest importers of winter grain.
