The government asked that the new president “lead to guarantee political stability and the preservation of the rule of law” in the country

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Wednesday in which he alluded to the political crisis that Peru is going through and made “a call to respect democratic institutions.”
He also said that he “strongly condemns any attempt to break the current constitutional order of our sister country.”
The public communiqué states that Uruguay “trusts the prompt and normal functioning of the republican government institutions.”
They also predict that the new president Dina Boluarte “lead to guarantee political stability and the preservation of the rule of law”.
The Congress of Peru on Wednesday ousted President Pedro Castillo for “moral incapacity” and swore in the vice president in his place, in a cascade of dramatic announcements in this country that suffers from chronic political instability.
Hours before Congress debated its third attempt to remove him from power in 16 months, Castillo announced on Wednesday that he was the target of “an all-out attack” by parliament and announced his dissolution.
However, the military and police did not support him and Congress ignored his decision and proceeded to remove him.
Then the prosecutor’s office Peru announced the arrest of Castillo for the crime of rebellion after his failed attempt to dissolve parliament.
