The candidate for mayor of Lime for the Podemos Peru party, Daniel Urrestiimposed conditions to participate in the debate next Sunday, September 11, which will be organized by Latina.
Urresti Elera indicated that he will attend this meeting of candidates only if they dedicate most of the time to discussing citizen security issues. In addition, she demanded that the applicants talk about the proposals that are in their government plan.

“What I am asking for the real debate that is going to take place in Latina is that 70% of the time of the debate is exclusively for the issue of security and that the candidates stick exclusively to the proposals that are in their government plan”, Urresti said in dialogue with Latina.
In that sense, the also former congressman from Podemos Peru stated that he will accept being part of this exhibition of proposals as long as this is not a “friends conversation”, referring to the debate of last August 28.
“I will go to Latina as soon as they send me the rule of true debate, not a debate that is a conversation of friends who say that in Comas everyone is a thief and on top of that the driver dies laughing as if she were real”, he pointed out.
As recalled, on August 28 the candidates Rafael López Aliaga (Popular Renovation) and George Forsyth (Somos Perú) participated in the debate organized by América Televisión and Canal N.
Ipsos Survey
The latest Ipsos poll, which was conducted in August for América Televisión, revealed that Urresti Elera leads the voting intentions for the Mayor’s Office of Lima.
The survey detailed that the Podemos Peru candidate has 26% support, followed by the Renovación Popular candidate, with 22%. Behind both is Forsyth Sommer, with 9%.
