Since the early hours of the day, the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office raided the house of the congresswoman of the Magisterial Bloc Elizabeth Medina, located in Cercado de Lima.
The intervention is being carried out to gather information about alleged bribes paid to mayors in exchange for managing budget allocations attributed to the parliamentarian. Her husband, Víctor Morales Chocano, is also included in the complaint.
Medina’s apartment is located on block 1 of Guzmán Blanco Avenue, a few meters from Bolognesi Square.
The agents had to wait two hours to begin the procedure, while Medina’s lawyer arrived, in compliance with the controversial new organized crime law.
In addition, a simultaneous raid is being carried out on nine other properties, one in Lima and eight in the province.
