PSU rescheduled the start of production of the second plant located in Paso de los Toros, Durazno for the end of the first quarter of 2023, according to a company statement on Thursday.

The original date was to begin production in the second half of this yearor but, according to the statement, “thesuccessive waves of the pandemic and tight global supply chains have continued to challenge the project.

Despite the delays, the Finnish company is now at a point where it can adjust the project’s completion plan, according to the text. “The main teams and key resources have arrived in Uruguay, so most of the uncertainties have already been resolved,” the statement added.
