unions of state workers UPCN Y ATE signed this Monday with the Government an additional salary increase of 23.13% for the February-April quarter of this year, with which they completed an increase of 97% for the annual parity of 2022.
“We hope to start the parity talks corresponding to the 2023 period that begins on June 1 of this year as soon as possible, where we bet on a low inflation that protects the purchasing power of state-owned salaries,” he reported in a statement from the Union of Civilian Personnel of the Nation (UPCN), the union led by Andrés Rodríguez.
For its part, the State Workers Association (ATE), which directs Hugo Godoystressed that “We reached 97% and we continue to beat inflation.”
In addition, it reported that “we updated the reimbursement amount for kindergartens to $32,300” and the “commitment to deal with the recomposition of grades -February- and the new licensing regime, in April” was achieved.
He also stressed that “the parity negotiations for the sectoral ones continue to be open. The parity is open and in motion.”
The Secretary of Management and Public Employment of the Nation, Ana Castellani, confirmed to Télam the closing of the parity agreement for state employees that completes the “97% year-on-year” salary increase.
Castellani explained that it was possible to “agree with the unions on the peer review that we had established in September to face the increases during February, March, April and a new review instance in May.”
The official thanked “the two unions for the permanent dialogue with which they have accompanied us with their signature, seeking a consensus” and added that the parties involved agreed that “the best way to maintain possibilities of real wage recovery is to through collective bargaining.
