The Brazilian Men’s and Women’s teams of Goalball enter the court on Tuesday afternoon (5) in search of the title of the Americas Championship, played at the Paralympic Training Center, in São Paulo. The men’s final will be the classic South American Brazil x Argentina, from 14:30 (Brasília time). Following, at 16h, the women’s team faces Canada in the title decision. The competition has free admission and LIVE TRANSMISSION ONLINE (on streaming) on the YouTube channel of the Brazilian Confederation of Disabled Sports (CBDV).
Underless, the Brazilian teams ensured the classification at the end of this Monday (4). The men’s writer qualified in the morning after beating the United States 14-4 in the semifinal.
“This is the result of our work together, our team. We work hard, in the collective. Tomorrow we will come with this same breed, this same claw and determination to look for another gold medal,” said Josemarcio, also known as Parazinho, who scored the last goal of Semi.
In the afternoon, there was also a rout in the semi female. The Brazilian ran over Argentina with a 10-2 win for the national team for the first time after the Tokyo Paralympics (2021), the carioca Victoria Nascimento celebrated the classification.

In 2022, Brazil first earned the title of the Americas championship both in men and women. In addition to lifting the cup, the champion team guarantees a place at the 2026 Goalball World Cup in Hangzhou (China). The Brazilian men’s writer already has a place guaranteed for winning the world title in the last edition (2022), in Portugal, when it became the only selection of three-time champion goalball.
