Wasteing enthusiasm and a joy rarely seen, the president of the Republic, Dina Boluartehe recalled in his mode the 70th birthday of the Peruvian-American Pope Leo XIV.
On the last Saturday, the president was at the launch of the Eten Multipurpose Port Terminal, in Lambayeque, when in a start of overflowing joy, he invited everyone to sing to Robert Prevost.
“I want to take advantage of dear compatriots, because we are facing a very special date. Not only in Peru, but throughout the world. From this holy earth, I want us to send our most sincere and affectionate greeting to our beloved Pope Leo XIV. And if they allow me, we stand up and we sing from here his’ Happy Birthday,” he explained.
The president sang the classic issue accompanied by an orchestra.
In addition, he reiterated the invitation for the Holy Father to visit Peru.
“On the eve of his birthday I want, from Lambayeque, tell our Pope: we wait for you. Not only Chiclayo, but the whole Peru wants to hug you and have you in this Holy Land called Peru,” said the president.
Very early, this Sunday, Boluarte Zegarra sent a letter to the Supreme Pontiff expressing his “best votes for his health and well -being.”
