This morning at the Palacio de López, the four contracts were signed to build what will be the third section of the Bioceanic Route, from Mcal. Estigarribia to Pozo Hondo.
The MOPC by Resolution No. 2991 of 11/30/2022 awarded the call in the following lots: The lot 1will be in charge of Pacific Consortiumintegrated by the signatures of: Enrique Díaz Benza Cano and Vial Agro SRL In this sector, the investment will be G. 485,505,296,685.
For his part, he lot 2will be borne by Chaqueño del Norte Consortium (LT SA – Constructora Heisecke SA – Benito Roggio e Hijos SA), whose awarded amount is G. 589.273.467.223.
Also, the lot 3 will be built by CDD Construcciones SA, for an amount of G. 464,527,263,350.
Finally, the Lot 4 will be in charge of the TCR Consortium (Topography and Road Engineering SA – Constructora Isacio Vallejos SA – Rovella Carranza SA Branch of Paraguay)awarded by G. 669.514.081.080.
The improvement and paving project for Route PY15, section Mariscal Estigarribia-Pozo Hondo and access to Mcal. Estigarribia, in the department of Boquerón, comprises 224.82 km. To finance this work, the Loan Contract PAR-28/2020 was signed with the financial entity FONPLATA for an amount of $354,245,764
He Bioceanic Road Corridor has 3 sectionsof which section 1 is already finished and runs from Carmelo Peralta to Loma Plata, is 277 kilometers long and represented an investment of USD 443 million.

Section 2 runs from the Sentinel Crossing – Mariscal Estigarribia, will have an extension of 102 kilometers, with an estimated investment of USD 110 million. Its construction would take place after section 3. This is so because the renovated Route PY09 already serves as a bypass to connect with Section 3.
So, having a route that can work as if it were section 2, the priority is to build section 3. And now, with the signing of the contracts, this section will be executed, which goes from Mcal. Estigarribia to the area of Pozo Hondo.
The third section includes 224.82 kilometers, with an estimated investment of USD 354,245,764.
Phases of the work:
From the signing of the contract, the companies have 6 months to prepare the final engineering design of the work, 2 years for construction and 8 years for maintenance of the more than 220 km.
In this undertaking, road improvements are planned in the city of Mariscal Estigarribia, its roundabout, the PY09 collector route, in addition to the accesses to the airport and in the air terminal itself. Also in Pozo Hondo and its airport, toll booths and heavy vehicle weighing, a border control center in Pozo Hondo, plus compensation for expropriation of land and destruction of improvements. All this accompanied by an Environmental Management Plan and Environmental Services.
