Until May 12, rains and storms with electrical discharges are expected

From this May 10 to 12, 2023, the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) will keep the prevention notice for rain and storms with electric shocks in force.

The authorities indicated that all the provinces, the Guna Yala and Ngäbe Bugle regions and both maritime sectors of the country are under notice.

According to a surveillance notice issued by the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (IMHPA), rainy events will occur due to the activation of low pressure in the northeast of Colombia, modulating the weather conditions in Panama over the next few days.

Showers and storms with occasional to frequent electrical discharges and possible gusts of wind are expected.

Sinaproc recommends taking precautions and following the recommendations of the security statements and in case of emergencies call 520-4422/911 / 6998-4809
