Chávez highlighted that this increase in the basic basket refers to $11.00 more compared to the month of April of the previous year.
The National Deputy Director of Free Competition of Acodeco, Joancy Chávez, revealed this Wednesday that until the month of April of this year, the basic family basket has registered an increase of $275.66, which represents 4.3%.
“Before this year the increases were around 2% year-on-year and now we are seeing that it rises to 4.3%. The increase in fuel came to give a greater increase. Panama is a country that imports almost everything, both products and supplies. ; that definitely impacts our basic basket,” he explained.
