Health workers grouped in the Hospital Association of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) of the Association of State Workers (ATE) will incur this Tuesday in a strike of activities demanding an urgent increase in wages and the immediate incorporation of new professionals. Also residents and concurrent will add a day of struggle.
Héctor Ortiz, state leader of ATE-Capital in the health area, said: “Today we had a great call together with the press that accompanied us. We will carry out a general strike tomorrow together with a significant number of sister trade union organizations that represent the workers (nurses, residentsconcurrent) of all hospitals in the City of Buenos Aires.
Meanwhile, workers united in the health assembly, residents and attendees from the hospitals of the City of Buenos Aires (CABA), continued during this Monday with the strike that they decided for an indefinite period of time and also confirmed the call for a mobilization for tomorrow, Tuesday.
To these professional workers Nursing staff from CABA grouped in the Association of Nursing Graduates (ALE), who demand recognition as health professionals as well as better salary and working conditions, will be added.
Along the same lines, from the assembly of residents and concurrent continued today with a campaign to collect signatures on change.org with the slogan Salary Recomposition, which has already collected nearly 80,000 signatureswhere they demand “a decent salary for public health” stating that with a salary of $340 an hour, ($121,000 a month) one does not make ends meet.
The judicial ruling that Larreta ignores
Framed in a press conference held this morning, from ATE-Capital they affirmed that the force measure (stoppage of activities) tomorrow, Tuesday, will be “forceful” and they hope that the Governor of CABA, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, finally listens to them.
