University rewards business initiatives of Huancaíno schoolchildren

With the purpose of encouraging and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit in young people in the Junín region, Roosevelt University held the I Entrepreneurship Contest called “Emprende para tu promo” an event that brought together students from the Huancavelica and Junín region.

After a training and monitoring process by specialists from the International Business Administration and Business Administration programs at Roosevelt University, the 5th grade students presented various business ideas.

The qualification was carried out by representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and teachers from Roosevelt University, who after an arduous evaluation declared the first place winners with the sum of S/ 4,000 to the IE. Lorenzo Alcala Pomalaza from Concepción with his project ‘Sandwich with local products such as trout, guinea pig, pig and anise bread’ and second place with the sum of S/ 1000 to the IE students. PNP. Navío Comun Gavilan de Surcubamba – Huancavelica with its project dedicated to the production of sports clothing.

The business ideas stood out for their creativity, innovation, the security of the participation of young students, the use of local products or attention to the needs of their area.

The award ceremony was held last Saturday, November 16 in the Roosevelt University amphitheater by the director of the Professional School of Administration and International Business, Mag. Martha López Miguel; the representative of the Huancayo Chamber of Commerce, Lic. Gisela Berenis Paitan Lozano and the Administration Consultant, Fidel Meza Taipe, who highlighted the work undertaken by the University.

For the following year, it is intended to expand this contest with a prize that serves as seed capital and with technical support from the Chamber of Commerce and the National Society of Industries, which will allow the birth of new ventures in our region, led by young people with mentality. entrepreneur.
