The University of Granada (UGR), Spainwill promote the development of academic, cultural and scientific relations with Cuba, thanks to an agreement reached with the Island’s Translators and Interpreters Services (ESTI), which includes the exchange of personnel.
The rector of the UGR, Pilar Aranda, and the general director of the ESTI team in Cuba, Rafael Dausá Céspedes, have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly promote the development of this type of activity.

This agreement establishes that the exchange of personnel will be promoted, for which it will be facilitated that the UGR faculty can visit the ESTI for teaching purposes during a certain period of time, and that its personnel can be trained at the University of Granada in the field of translation and interpretation through academic stays.
Among other actions, the initialed agreement establishes the periodic organization of meetings between the staff of the two institutions to exchange experiences and knowledge.
In order to be able to carry out this collaboration program, a Joint Commission made up of two representatives from each of the parties will be appointed to promote cultural, academic and scientific activities for four years, a period that could be modified if required by any of the parties. parts.
