The national COE issued new resolutions on the COVID-19 pandemic on February 17, 2022.
The chancellor Juan Carlos Holguin announced this February 17, 2022 that the border with Peru in Huaquillas and Macará. This measure will take effect from Friday, February 18.
The measure was announced together with new resolutions of the national COE on capacity which will come into effect from February 21.
The capacity outdoors it will be 100% and indoors the following capacity will still be maintained:
- 80% indoors for essential activities: markets, financial entities, public services.
- 80% indoors and 100% outdoors in non-essential activities such as restaurants, cinemas, circuses, theaters, without sale and consumption of food and beverages for the latter. It also applies to gyms and spas.
- 60% off capacity indoors and 75% outdoors for bars, karaoke, discostolerance centers and the like.
- 100% off capacity in outdoor spaces such as beaches and parks.
- Massive activities are subject to the National COE.
- stadiums with capacity of 60%.
- Concerts in open spaces with capacity of 75%.
- Public transport all seated.
It removes the taking temperature as a precautionary measure against COVID-19, but the use of a mask is maintained, both in open and closed spaces.
100% Universities
From February 21, universities return to face-to-face classes with 100% capacity. Also they public workers they return to face-to-face work with capacity of 100%. (AVV)
