Aurora thrashed Universitario de Vinto at the end of the match. Those led by ‘Pancho’ Arguello deserved it during the 90 minutes, and were able to make the difference in the last chapters of the match.
The first half began with both teams quickly and agilely searching for the rival goal. There were many approaches, but not so many shots with a concrete goal danger.
Oswaldo Blanco was a nightmare for Universitario de Vinto’s defense, while Rodrigo Llano and his ‘namesake’ Vargas were the most incisive at the venue.
At the close of the first stage, the Celestes arrived from the left sector with the dominance of Leandor Maygua, who raised a brilliant cross towards the penalty spot, and Leo Vaca who threw himself to connect with a header to make it 0-1 in the 45th minute +2.
Universitario de Vinto reached the discount in the 60th minute, but did not go up to the scoreboard because it was annulled via VAR. Added to this was the expulsion of Hallysson Padilha and that of David Perdiguero, coach of the university students.
The game was complicated for the team that officiated at home, and lost his composure in the final minutes.
