United States Humanitarian Parole Program will be submitted to a judge in June

The demand of 20 states of the United States against the humanitarian parole program will be on June 13, according to local North American media.

Said program benefits Nicaraguans, Cubans, Haitians and Venezuelans. Initially it could only be requested by citizens of Venezuela, in January of this year it was extended to three more countries, including Nicaragua.

The judge who will hear the case against the humanitarian parole, Drew B. Tipton, explained that there will not be a ruling on this lawsuit until July, that is, that the applications for the United States immigration program will continue to be made as usual.

The hearing will begin on the aforementioned day at 9:00 am in a federal court in Victoria, in the State of Texas. The lawsuit argues that the humanitarian parole was an “arbitrary” decision by the Joe Biden government.

At the beginning of March, the United States embassy in Nicaragua revealed that 98% of the applications of Nicaraguan migrants to the new “parole” immigration program are being approved.

The diplomatic headquarters did not specify the number of Nicaraguan nationals benefited from the program that seeks to reduce the high levels of irregular migration on the southern border of the United States, one of the most sought after destinations by people fleeing the Central American country.

“98% of Nicaraguan applications to the Parole program are being approved,” the diplomatic delegation wrote in its Twitter social network account.

Until the end of January, some 800 Nicaraguans had benefited from the United States under the new immigration program.. This allows the regular entry by air of 30,000 citizens of Nicaragua, Cuba and Haiti each month. The data was obtained by the CNN news network and disclosed on its website.
