United Airlines announced the incorporation of four new international routes that will strengthen their network in Asia and Oceania from the last quarter of this year. With these additions, the US airline extends to 32 the number of cities served in the Pacific region, a figure that, according to the company, quadruple the coverage of other airlines of USA In that area.
As of October 26, United will operate daily flights from Hong Kong to Bangkok (Thailand) and Ciudad Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), becoming the only US airline with direct services to those cities. Both routes will be in charge of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, configured to serve both pleasure and business travelers.
In addition, from October 25, a new daily frequency between San Francisco and Manila, capital of the Philippines, allowing passengers to choose between day or night flights will be added. United already had operations on this route, as well as towards the Filipina city of Cebu, and is currently the only US airline with direct presence in that country.
In Oceania, the airline will open on December 11 a new direct route between San Francisco and Adelaida, in southern Australia. The service will be offered three times a week, also in Boeing 787-9 aircraft, and will be the first to directly connect this Australian city with the United States. With this, United becomes the only airline with non -scales flights from American continental territory to four destinations in Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and now Adelaida.
With these incorporations, the US airline seeks to consolidate its position as one of the main transoceanic flight operators from North America. Currently, United offers approximately 500 daily flights to 150 international destinations and has the largest international air network among US airlines, according to data provided by the company.

Founded in 1926, United Airlines is one of the largest airlines in the world, both by number of routes and by volume of transported passengers. Based in Chicago, Illinois, the company is part of the United Airlines Holdings group and is a founding member of the Global Star Alliance Alliance. Currently, it operates around 4,500 daily flights to more than 350 destinations in America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania.
