The Equine Development Pole of UDELAR together with Teachers of the Technological Course in Equine Production of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and UTU are organizing the 2nd Uruguayan Conference on Equine Production.
It will take place at the Cerro Largo University House Headquarters, located in Melo, next Saturday, October 18, throughout the day.
They will have the participation of national and international speakers.
Before the 2nd Uruguayan Equine Production Day, a unique opportunity for riders, breeders and fans will arrive in Cerro Largo. This is an intensive two-day course with the renowned international rider, trainer and trainer Dr. Guto Freire, a professional who has extensive experience in preparing horses for the El Freno de Oro competition.
“We are already in the last moments of preparation. We are inviting the population of the 3rd Section and neighboring areas for this activity. It is a very important event, they are the II Equine Production Conference. They have been declared of Departmental interest by the Departmental Board of Cerro Largo” highlighted the Dr. Horacio Costa.
“They will be taking place on Saturday, October 18 at the University House of Cerro Largo” confirmed to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.
“We are going to have a pre-event which is a dressage course that would be taking place on Thursday the 16th.” -tomorrow- and on Friday the 17th. It will be in charge of a Technician, a Brazilian Veterinarian of great renown in the field of rational dressage of Creole horses, El Freno de Oro. He will be working with people Thursday and Friday.” reported the member of the organization.
“For this dressage course with Freire there are limited places for those who go with a horse and the other party can attend as a listener. It has a cost of USD 300 for those who attend with their horse and USD 200 for the person who is only going to listen to the classes” revealed.
Registration to participate in Saturday’s event also has a cost. The proceeds are used to cover expenses generated by the participation of the panelists in the activity. “There are professionals who come from England and the United States. If we don’t charge it would be impossible to do it. Students and breeders will have to pay USD 65 and for professionals USD 75” he detailed.
It is worth remembering that last year, the First Uruguayan Conference on Equine Production was held at the Agricultural, Conventos location. “This year they will be in CUCEL because it is more practical. We will be closer to everything” said Horacio Costa.
“We have the possibility of being close to internationally renowned people who will be visiting us. It would be good to take advantage and attend both students and teachers, people who like the subject and professionals” summoned.
The organization is in charge of the Equine Development Pole of the University of the Republic and the Equine Production Technologist, but it also has support from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
