He minister of labor, Eddy Olivares Ortegawas recognized this Thursday by women representatives of the three main union centers of the country, in merit of its management in favor of inclusion, gender equality and the strengthening of women’s labor rights in public labor policy.
The distinction was awarded by the National Confederation of Trade Union Unity (CNUS), the National Confederation of Dominican Workers (CNTD) and the Autonomous Classist Trade Union Confederation (CASC), organizations that make up the Inter-Union Committee of Working Women (Cimtra).
Upon receiving the recognitionhe Minister Olivares expressed that it is a unforgettable momentbecause it is sponsored by the womanwhich is the essence of life.
He pointed out that it is a recognition to the fulfillment of duty and thanked him back received, highlighting that the progress achieved has been possible thanks to the effort, inspiration and commitment of the working women.

He stated that he will take the corresponding steps for the ratification of the Convention 190which establishes a common framework to prevent, remedy and eliminate violence and harassment in the world of work, adding that the adoption of said agreement will be easier, because it is typified in the Penal Code, after its recent reform.
Likewise, he reaffirmed his back at domestic workersensuring that it will continue to defend their rights and promote initiatives that guarantee decent working conditions for this important sector.
