The rector of the UNI, Alfonso López Chaugave some forceful statements in an interview in RPP to refer to the accommodation that the National University of Engineering, together with the National University of San MarcosThey are giving them to students from other regions who have come to Lima to protest.
In the first place, the rector said that the house of studies has observed that “there is a legitimate protest” and that, by using their autonomy, they decided to welcome students from other regions who will demonstrate in the capital, to whom he referred as “the weakest”.
“I do not believe that the 67% who are marching against Congress or the president are from Peru Libre, please! It cannot be 67% leftists and terrorists; There is everything there: people from the right, from the center, people who are outraged, ”she asserted.
On this, he assured that the surveys are “exact” to maintain that this percentage of protesters It is made up of various sectors and all political positions.
“I am not a communist and if I were 20 years old, I would go out to march. And what I can do is speak out with what I have and we have done it before this march, ”he said.
Likewise, he maintained that, in order to ensure the integrity of the students and the infrastructure of the university and, at the same time, do something about the situation that the country is experiencing, they have as a condition that they only welcome students and respect the institutions private.
