More than 3,600 families in Vichada They began to receive humanitarian assistance kits after heavy rains that have affected the department. The distribution was possible with the logistical support of the Colombian Navy and the aerospace force, which allowed to initially reach Puerto Carreño, Santa Rosalía and Spring. In the next few days, deliveries will be completed in Cummaribo, thus covering the most impacted municipalities for the winter season.

In parallel, Puerto Carreño will receive an investment of 12.5 billion pesosintended for strengthening the machinery bank, the acquisition of specialized equipment for emergencies and the construction of the Municipal Center for Risk Management. This space will be intended to centralize the work of response and coordination against natural disasters in the region.
The director of the UNGRD, Carlos Carrillo Arenas, He led the activities on the field, supervising the arrival of the aid and verifying the conditions of the communities.
