For years we have warned about the involvement of the military, politicians, businessmen and common criminals in the uncontrollable trafficking of undocumented immigrants across the border with Haiti.
The announcement of the commission created by the Attorney General’s Office to prosecute the crime of human trafficking, on the dismantling of an alleged gang made up of soldiers and civilians on the border, proves us right.
The country is crammed with undocumented immigrants because of the lucrative business that has made these corrupt soldiers rich who, far from serving the country, for what they enlisted and are paid, affect the national interests with this serious betrayal of the nation.
It is possible that the investigations reveal other perpetrators, since we have never understood why the more neighbors are repatriated, the more they enter the country like Pedro through his house. When authority is corrupted, the damage is always more serious for society and for the country.
This action to continue and deepen the investigations to lighten the burden that the country has carried for this cause in terms of health, food, hygiene, crime. In addition, the shantytown of sectors that previously had another face, the streets, avenues and elevated, now converted into small dumps.
Now we must hope that this commission fulfills the mission of its successful creation and the uncontrollable flow of undocumented immigrants, women in labor and other obscure businesses that take place on the border begin to be corrected and thereby lower the burden on the country.
These corrupt military and civilians must be demoted as citizens, considered traitors to the country and given the full weight of the law, to serve as a warning to those who take advantage of the vulnerability of the border for pecuniary gain. It is time to face up and put a definitive stop to this problem. It’s good already!
