In seven months of operation, the small businesses unfolded renegotiated R $ 7.5 billion of debts of more than 120 thousand individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEI), micro and small companies, released on Wednesday (12) the Presidency Secretariat of Social Communication of the Republic. The program offers discounts of 20% to 95% in bank debts, allowing smaller businesses to recover access to credit.
To the Renegotiations started in May and the period of Adhesion ended on December 31.
According to the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Microenterprise and the Small Business, in 2024 Small Business Credit Programs injected R $ 39 billion into 600,000 companies. Part of this performance, the folder points out, is due to the special version of the unfolding for MEI and smaller companies.
By the rules, refinancing is directly granted by the financial system, with government tax incentives to encourage banks to renegotiate debts with delinquent companies. This approach allows significant debt discounts.
THE Unfolds small businesses is one of the axes of the program believeswhich intends to expand access to credit in the economy.
PROCred 360
Believes also includes the Procred 360, which offers exclusive credit lines with interest up to 50% lower than markets for MEI and micro -determants with annual revenues of up to R $ 360 thousand. The term of adhesion to Procred also ended on December 31.
To allow credit concessions with low interest rates, the government allocated R $ 1.5 billion in guarantees for banks. The amount came from remaining resources from the Operations Fund (FGO) of the Unroll Program, which renegotiated debts of more than 15 million individuals in 2023 and 2024.
FGO resources cover any credit borrowers defaults, which reduces the risk for banks and allows the grant with lower interest rates. The method is similar to that applied to the original version of the unfolding.
Of the R $ 5 billion offered in credit, Procred 360 lent R $ 1.4 billion to 47 thousand companies. New features are expected to be allocated to further expand the credit supply.
In addition to Procred 360, small businesses can look for banks to access the National Microenterprise Support Program and Small Enterprises (PRONAMPE), which benefits MEI and companies that earn up to R $ 4.8 million per year. Last year, the government created a special version of Pronampe to Rio Grande do Sul, which funded the economic recovery of 36,000 companies affected by floods that hit the state in May and June.
