Regarding the epidemiological surveillance in the return to classes, Valenzuela declared that “from then on, it will be necessary to monitor what is being done regarding the schools and the new authorities will make the decisions.”
Peak of cases
Today, 37,468 cases of Covid-19 were registered in our country. Given this, the Undersecretary of State indicated that the peak of the cases of the Omicron variant could be in the fortnight of February.
“When the rise in cases is there, you cannot say when the peak will be. Because we have seen in other countries, where this wave has lasted approximately five weeks to reach the rise, we could say that around February 15 we would be reaching our peak,” he said.
