The undersecretary of the General Secretariat of Government (Segegob), Valeska Orange, addressed the plebiscite of the draft of the new Constitution, which will be held on September 4. Naranjo maintained that the government’s plan will not be paralyzed if the Rejection option wins.
“We are going to work from the next day, as our spokesperson minister (Camila Vallejo) has said,” said the undersecretary in conversation with The Mercury of Antofagasta.
“By the way, our government plan will not be paralyzed if the Rejection option wins, perhaps it will be more challenging, but we will work from day one to continue pushing our transformation plan,” added Naranjo.
Regarding the government’s information campaign for the plebiscite, called “Let’s Make History”, the undersecretary pointed out that “it is not interventionism”, adding that they have “been very attached to what the Comptroller’s opinion is, that is why the ministry is the one who leads this diffusion.
