The US official said that the results of the presidential elections of July 28, 2024 and the Venezuelan exodus demonstrate “the repudiation” of the people towards the Maduro administration
The Undersecretary of State of the United States, Christopher Landau, accused the mature adminitration of having “destroyed” Venezuela and warned that “history demonstrates how the tyrants end.”
Through a message posted on his X account this August 18, Landau responded to the accusations made by the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, who accused Donald Trump’s government officials to conspire against Venezuela. Among those mentioned by hair are the US business manager, John McNamara, and Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
“You and your gang of criminal gross have shattered your homeland as a rarely in human history a great country has been destroyed,” Landau wrote.
The official said that the results of the presidential elections of July 28, 2024 and the exodus of Venezuelans demonstrate “the absolute repudiation of their own people.”
He accused the mature administration of “harassing” Venezuelans and having declared war on their own citizens. In that sense, he warned that “history demonstrates how the tyrants end.”

In the last statements, Cabello has pointed out US government officials to conspire against Venezuela. On August 14, during a press conference, he said that “the only drug poster that operates in the world’s light is the DEA (drug control administration) and depends directly on the US government.”

The Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, meanwhile, said on Saturday that the United States seeks to impose a narrative to “assault” the country, after sending US military troops to the Caribbean to combat drug trafficking.
«The problem is a narrative that you want to impose to attack Venezuela. That is, building lies that are being made like this, ”said the minister in a video posted on Instagram.
