Undersecretary Monsalve confirms the end of the State of Exception in Tamarugal

The Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, confirmed, this Wednesday, the end of the State of Exception in the province of Tamarugal, as part of his visit to the Tarapacá region to present the Government’s Migration Plan.

After meeting with the authorities in the area, Undersecretary Monsalve stated that the State of Constitutional Exception will not be extended, and that it will end on April 16.

Similarly, the undersecretary stated that decree 265 of the Ministry of the Interior will come into force, which will allow the Carabineros to have the support of the Armed Forces, in order to reinforce security in the border area.

Monsalve also notified that as of May 1 the borders will be opened and the procedures for the transit card with Bolivia will be carried out, which will allow the flow of passage between the inhabitants of the border area.
