At the Bucaramanga South Police Station, located in Ciudadela Real de Minas, a woman was caught red-handed trying to bring in several doses of marijuana camouflaged in cookies and other snacks.
The drugs were intended for a man who is currently deprived of his liberty for the crime of drug trafficking.
Major Richard Guzmán, station commander, reported that the woman, known by the alias ‘Scarlet’, was surprised during routine checks carried out by uniformed officers at the station entrance.
“This woman was carrying items for a person deprived of liberty and a plant substance similar to marijuana was found in her camouflage,” the officer said.
After being captured, ‘Scarlet’ was placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office and will have to answer for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics.
Authorities continue to detect new forms of camouflage used by criminals to try to bring drugs into police stations in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga.
“The expertise and experience of the police do not give way to these methods of concealment,” concluded the spokesperson of the institution.
