UNAM and academics agree to raise salary of 3.5%

Adjustments in 44% of the first circle of the President

UNAM and its academic staff yesterday agreed on a 3.5 percent direct salary increase, corresponding to the period from February 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023.

The salary increase proposal was presented last Thursday by the highest house of studies, in a meeting in which the administrative secretary, Luis Agustín Álvarez Icaza Longoria, told the staff that they should be sure that UNAM has made its best effort to compensate, as far as possible, the salary of academic workers.
