The United Nations (UN) launched a new humanitarian aid plan for Venezuela in which it will help 5.2 million of people with urgent needs and for which they need almost 800 million dollars.
The call “Humanitarian Response Plan 2022-2023” is a roadmap that requires this investment to serve the most vulnerable populations in the country, located in the states of Miranda, Falcón, Bolívar, Apure, Amazonas and Zulia.
“The plan seeks to address the most immediate needs by focusing on six priority areas: population health; nutrition, food security and livelihoods; human mobility (migration); protection risks; provision and access to services and access to education”, says the text in the expose of the plan.
To achieve this goal, the plan contemplates 145 projects presented by 125 organizationsincluding United Nations agencies, as well as local and international organizations
