The United Nations Organization (UN) granted Panama international recognition for excellence in public service, in the category of Institutional Resilience and Innovative Responses to the Pandemic, for the system that enables the vaccination QR code.
This code is created automatically with registration on the website www.panamadigital.gob.pa that enabled the Government Innovation Authority (AIG).
On this platform is the VACCINATION section where users can check the status of their vaccines against COVID-19, and the QR is generated, in addition to the specific data of the vaccine such as batch number, date and place of application; among others.
The QR on this platform is generated in three colors (red, yellow and green) that indicate the number of doses received or the status of the vaccination schedule.
“My special recognition to all the public servants of Panama, who with professionalism, facing a pandemic, have not stopped; his committed work inspires, and he has achieved a more effective administration at the service of Panamanians. Congratulations!”, wrote the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo on his twitter account after announcing this recognition.
This would be the second recognition that the UN grants to Panama for its response, care and information platforms on COVID-19
