UN group of friends rejects USAU Aggression against Maduro

Through a statement, the group of friends in defense of the Charter of the United Nations rejected the aggression by the United States against the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. They express their concern and categorical rejection of the hostile actions of the United States of America against Venezuela, which aims to undermine the sovereignty and independence of the country.

Also, they reaffirm their unwavering solidarity with the people and national government, founding member of this group and with its inalienable right to freely determine its own political, economic, and social course, without pressures, threats or external coercion and in peace.

They also recognize Venezuela’s efforts in the fight against the world drug problem, in line with their pertinent national and international obligations. He also recalls “the last report of the United Nations Office against Drugs and Crime (UNUD), which reveals, among others, that Venezuela is a territory free of illicit crops and cocaine processing.”
