Concern over the murder of Jesuit priests Joaquín César Mora Salazar and Javier Campos Morales, on June 20 in Cerocahui, Chihuahua, while asking the Mexican State for answers about the investigations.
They urged the federal government to prosecute and impose sanctions on whoever is found responsible for the crime and take effective actions to prevent such events from repeating themselves.
In the document, dated July 22, but which was released yesterday by the Society of Jesus, they requested detailed information on the status of the investigation carried out to identify the perpetrators of the homicides.
In its response, the Mexican State reported that investigation file 65/2022/19, initiated for the crime of qualified homicide, was opened and evidence was obtained that was used to request the arrest warrant for José Noriel Portillo Gil, the crookedalleged material author of the murder.
