The Dominican Republic will experience a cold environment and weak rains during this weekend, due to the remnants of a frontal system in the process of dissipation, which are being carried by easterly winds, according to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
For this Saturday, weak to moderate rains are expected, especially in the northeast, southeast and the Central Cordillera regions. The affected provinces include La Altagracia, El Seibo, Monte Plata, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, San Cristóbal, Monseñor Nouel, San José de Ocoa, Azua, Santiago, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte and parts of Greater Santo Domingo.
On Sunday morning, weak rains will continue in towns such as La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel and Sánchez Ramírez. In the afternoon, these precipitations could extend to sectors of Greater Santo Domingo, Espaillat, the Northern Mountain Range, the north of San Cristóbal and the south of Santiago. However, they are expected to decrease as night falls.
