Ukraine: Brent exceeds 100 dollars per barrel after Putin's statement

The crisis in Ukraine raised fears in the markets about a disruption in the region’s economy.

Futures in London rose as much as 3.3% after a report that President Vladimir Putin has decided to conduct an operation to “protect” the Donbas region.

Prior to the Russian president’s statements, the reference energy in Europe ended its day this Wednesday in the London futures market at 96.84 dollars, the same price reached at the close of Tuesday, a session in which it came close to 100 dollars .

North Sea crude hit a high of $98.58 and a low of $95.84 today on the International Exchange Futures, the agency reported. EFE.
