The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has asked the member states of the UN the expulsion of Russia both the Security Council and the rest of the organizations that make up the United Nations.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sent a document in which it urges the application of the United Nations Charter to “deprive the Russian Federation of its status as a permanent member of the Security Council” and exclude it from the UN “as a whole”.
From the point of view of international law, the question of the status of a UN member state and a permanent member of the UN Security Council, which the Russian Federation enjoys, remains unresolved.”

“The Russian Federation occupied the post of permanent member of the United Nations Security Council without going through the procedures defined by the Charter of the UN“, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has asserted.
