With the aim of guaranteeing an adequate start to the 2026 School Year, the Huánuco Local Educational Management Unit (UGEL), led by director Dr. Francisco Pérez Naupay, received the first shipment of educational materials sent by the Ministry of Education (Minedu).
This delivery marks the official start of the actions corresponding to the Good Start of the School Year (BIAE) 2026, ensuring that thousands of students have textbooks and workbooks from the first day of classes.
According to the technical report, UGEL Huánuco formalized the receipt of a first batch that reaches a total weight of 21,669.06 tons. In the distribution by educational levels, the initial level received 5,041.92 tons, the primary level concentrated the largest volume with 11,705.93 tons, while the secondary level received 4,921.21 tons, thus completing the total of this first shipment.
In accordance with the goals established for BIAE 2026, UGEL Huánuco plans to receive a total of 63,509.31 tons of educational materials. With this first shipment, 34.12% of the total scheduled for the jurisdiction has been covered, advancing in accordance with the schedule established by the Ministry of Education.
In this regard, the director of UGEL Huánuco, Francisco Pérez Naupay, pointed out that this advance reception constitutes a key aspect within the logistical planning of the educational sector, since it guarantees the timely availability of pedagogical resources for the three levels of basic education.
With this action, UGEL Huánuco reaffirms its commitment to optimize logistical processes and ensure that each child and adolescent has the necessary tools for their learning from the first day of the school year.
